About Housing & Residential Life
Residential life is an integral part of the total educational experience. The residential life program at Marist is based upon the philosophy of providing students with a safe, healthy, and attractive living environment that supports and supplements the educational mission of the College. Marist provides housing for over 3,300 undergraduate students in corridor, suite, apartment, and townhouse-style residences.
Transfer and New Student Housing
The Application for Transfer and New First Year Student Housing is available as of December 9, 2024 at 9:00AM. All students who are requesting housing, must complete the application by January 6, 2025 at 12:00PM (Noon).
Mid Year Process Update
The application for student who are abroad and the room change request for has closed. Our team will begin working on the submitted requests.
Return To Campus-Study Abroad Information
Marist College Housing and Residential Life has concluded the Spring 2025 Housing Application for students who are currently abroad or on a college approved externship as of November 18, 2025.
If you have questions, the 2024 Mid-Year Room Assignment/Change Information Book found on the below may be a helpful resource. If you need housing accommodations for the spring semester, contact the Office of Accommodations and Accessibility.
Accommodations and accessibility paperwork is due by Nov. 15.
Housing assignments are finalized during winter break. Our team is working on placements will be posted on the StarRez housing portal in January startying Januar 2nd. Students will be contacted by our placement committee if we are unable to meet your request. You may not know your assignment until just before the opening if spring semester housing on Jan .21. Mid-Year Housing Placement- Students On Campus
Mid Year Room Change Process has closed for all students interested in making a room change for the upcoming semester (Spring 2025) as of November 18, 2025.
If you accept a room change prior to December 4, 2024, you must complete all end of semester check-out paperwork and turn in your key to your Resident Assistant (RA) or Resident Director (RD).
You then have three options to complete your room change. If you have not received a room change prior to December 5th, you must elect option 1.
- Option 1 (suggested): You can move all your belongings out of your current space when leaving after your last class prior to leaving for Winter break and move your possessions into your new space during the Spring 2024 semester residence opening.
- Option 2: You can move all your belongings out of your current space prior to your departure at the end of the fall semester and into your new space provided you coordinate this move with the residents who currently live in that space. Your belongings must not infringe upon anyone else’s living space. Should you choose this option, it is your responsibility to make this arrangement and the space you are moving into will not cleaned by Housekeeping Services. You must meet with your RA or RD to make an appointment to complete the check in paperwork.
- Option 3: If you are an international student or a student whose permanent residence is far away from campus, please contact your Resident Director to arrange your room change. Approved Housing Room Change moves must be made prior to 5:00 PM EST on Friday, December 13th, 2024. Please contact housing@marist.edu with any questions.
